Job Description:
As a process project engineer you will develop modifications to optimize processes, improve reliability, safety, sustainability, and environmental performance. Projects range from small unit modifications to large capital projects involving multiple refinery units. You will lead scoping studies, generate ideas, and develop business cases with planning resources. You will also develop project economics and decision support packages, define scopes, support detailed engineering, and provide input for pre-startup reviews and unit performance tests. You will ensure design clarity and accuracy, engage with SMEs and other disciplines, and develop technical documents for project oversight. You will lead the development of PFDs, P&IDs, PSM activities, control narratives, and operator training manuals. Additionally, you will maintain process deliverables, support project closeout activities, develop annual capital budget justifications, communicate opportunities to teams, and monitor technical recommendations. Some travel for training and interfacing with contractors is expected.
