The clinical teams at the areas clinics are improving outcomes, lowering the number of hospital readmissions and reducing avoidable costs associated with treating chronic conditions. The UnityPoint Clinic team is known for excellence and quality patient care putting patients at the center of their care to provide the best level of health and well-being.Established outpatient practice located at UPH Prairie Parkway medical Campus, Cedar Falls, IAJoin team of 8 Physicians and 7 Advanced Practice ProvidersFull-time position, including dedicated administrative time, with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access36 direct patient care hours, 4 hours of administrative timePrairie Parkway provides patient-centered and comprehensive care in one 90,000 square foot building.Patients have access to therapy, lab, pharmacy, and X-ray onsitePrimary and specialty providers at the medical campus work collaboratively and include (Rheumatology, Pediatrics, OBGYN, IM, and Diabetes and Endocrinology)Cohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff allowing for autonomy while building the practice according to your preferencesExperienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical, who know the patients and the communityFully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordinationResponsibilities:
Clinic hours vary from 7AM-5PM and extended hours on Monday and Wednesday 7AM- 7PMOpportunity for general family medicine procedures in the clinic include skin excisions, vasectomy, lacerations, Nexplanon, joint injections, and toenail removal ect.Average 18-20 patients per day3 exam rooms per provider and 1 procedure room in each podAbility to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serveAbility to participate in Newborn call 1:5 includes evaluations of newborns, circumcisions, and dischargesShared clinic call amongst the providers. Call is light, and first triaged through MyNurse lineGeneral family medicine procedures such as joint injections, skin excisions, lacerations, casting, joint injections etc.Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient carePatient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environmentExcellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skillsQualifications:
MD or DOBoard Eligible or Board Certified in Family MedicineAbility to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of IowaHold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physicians field of practiceEligible to work in the United States (J-1 and H1-B cap exempt)We offerInitial 2-year salary guarantee with ability to exceed on an innovative compensation programAttractive incentive packageA competitive
