Automotive Damage Appraiser/Estimator

Job Summary:Town & County Auto Body Collision Center is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Automotive Damage Appraiser/Estimator to join our team in North Haven, Connecticut. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing and estimating damage to vehicles and determining the cost of repairs. This is a full-time position with a base salary and commission structure.

Responsibilities:- Inspect vehicles to assess damage and determine necessary repairs- Prepare accurate and detailed repair estimates using industry-standard software- Communicate with insurance companies to negotiate repair costs and ensure timely payment- Coordinate with technicians and other team members to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards- Keep detailed records of repairs and costs, including photographs and documentation for insurance claims- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, techniques, and regulations to continuously improve appraisal and estimating skills- Maintain a clean and organized work space and adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols
Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education or training in collision repair is preferred- At least 1 year of experience as an Automotive Damage Appraiser/Estimator, preferably in a collision repair shop and have or have the ability to obtain a CT MVPD license- Proficient in relevant computer software programs, such as CCC ONE or Audatex- Strong knowledge of automotive repairs and techniques- Excellent communication and negotiation skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
