Procurement Coordinator

Summary:Seeking a Purchasing Coordinator/Project Controller to assist with the onboarding of vendors and the solicitation and procurement of required goods, services and construction agreements. Qualified candidate possesses the ability to work in a collaborative environment with engineers, technical staff, the diverse vendor population, and other internal and external personnel.

This position will handle day to day Procurement requirements as well as work with representatives throughout the organization to increase diverse spend. Market research and interface/communication with Vendors and local offices committed to supporting diverse business initiatives will be an integral part of this role.

Purchasing Coordinator will also work closely with Procurement staff and Vendors (Subcontractors, Suppliers, etc.) to coordinate solicitations (RFP, RFQ) and obtain pricing from selected bidders. The Purchasing Coordinator will be involved in processes and have responsibilities from Vendor Pre-Qualification through Project Close-Out.

Job Responsibilities:

Prepare Vendor Qualification documents and arrange all qualification activities.Prepare and issue bid documents to solicit Bids from Diverse VendorsNegotiate terms and conditions, payment terms, delivery schedule, and other aspects of Purchase Order agreements.Work with various SBUs to develop Strategic plans for upcoming Procurement requirements. Establish Long Term Agreements and Master Agreements with Vendors for these requirements.Perform community market research to create strategic agreements with Diverse Vendors based on the needs of the companyProcess and issue Purchase OrdersPerform data and document management for monitoring and tracking of metrics (% diverse spend, overall company spend, etc), filing, tracking of deliverables, and expiration dates.Education/Experience:

Knowledge in basic Procurement processes and proceduresEffective communication and negotiation skillsAbility to read and interpret contractual language and terms and conditions.Ability to follow through on requirements, ask questions, admit mistakes, challenge the status quo, and adapt to processes and proceduresComputer skills: Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Power BIExperience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred but not required.Ability to work autonomously and as a team
