As a Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care, you'll work with seven other Physicians and four Nurse Practitioners to provide top-notch care and patient experience. Throughout the day you'll collaborate with behavioral health, MAs, RNs, and front office support staff including a clinic manager.You would practice in a clinic at Patterson Primary Care in Grand Junction, CO1.0 FTE, 36 Patient Contact Hours in 4 - 10 hour daysPractice Call is currently 1:11 and runs from Wed 7p to Wed 7a, the week you are on call you will be the sole provider for our Saturday acute care clinic 8a -12p and one week day will be cut in half to make up for this time.
In this line of work every day is different, that's why you'll need to know how to:Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatmentPrescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimensRefer patients to specialists, and to relevant patient care componentsDirect and coordinate the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required
