Summary:

TheCNC Machinist is responsible for the operation of CNC (computer numerically controlled) equipment to machine raw material or fabrications into a finished detail.Responsibilities:

Monitor and operating CNC (computer numerically controlled) machinesRun and edit programs created by the CNC programmerCapable of changing tools as neededLoad and unload machine to maintain production outputDeburr and complete finish operations as neededEnsure inbound and completed stock material is organized and placed in proper storage locationsEnsure individual tasks are executed in the most effective manner in regards to time, cost and functionEnsure assigned work is completed based on work requirements utilizing engineering drawings, programs and manuals as necessaryProvide accurate time reporting for assigned activities through our ERP systemEnsure compliance with safety proceduresAll other duties as assigned

Requirements:

5+ years of vocational shop experience preferred3+ years of CNC Machinist experienceHigh School Diploma or GED equivalentKnowledge of shop mathematics, metal properties, and machining proceduresAble to interpret engineering drawings and successfully layout equipment according to printsTeam player, able to take direction and be self-directed when neededHigh regard for safety standardsStrong written and oral communication skills
