Our unique business model, combined with our dedication to delivering the highest quality products, enables team members to contribute in a larger capacity than is possible in typical positions.Position Description:As a Senior Internal Auditor you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:Obtain an understanding of and document key business processes and internal controls and assess the design of these processes and controlsReview internal policies and procedures and existing laws, rules, and regulations to determine applicable compliance and the adequacy of underlying internal controlsDesign and execute tests of internal controlsEvaluate and develop value-added recommendationsDevelop effective reports and presentationsCoordinate and perform internal audits and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) business and information technology cycle related activities, such as objective and risk mapping, walkthroughs, key control identification, developing test plans and segregation of duty analysisConduct data extraction, analysis, and security reviews utilizing software toolsAssess information technology control elements to mitigate business process risks regarding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of business informationPerform other duties and special projects, as assigned in response to changing business conditions and requirements
Position Requirements:This position requires the following skills and attributes:Bachelors degree or equivalent in Accounting or AccountancyAt least three years of full-time experience performing risk-based integrated audits and SOX projects, information technology, internal audit, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting, and risk and fraud assessmentAbility to effectively communicate verbally and in all levels of management and staffDetailed knowledge of internal accounting and management controls, audit processes, and professional standards and regulations, such as United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), SOX, and the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission (COSO)Considerable knowledge of and skill in applying internal auditing and accounting principles and practices, and management principles and preferred business practicesExposure to management information systems terminology, concepts, controls and practicesAbility to use an automated spreadsheet, word processing software and other business and audit-related software, such as Audit Command Language (ACL), Interactive Data Extraction and Analysis (IDEA), Microsoft Office, or TeamMate SuiteTeam player, professional, resourceful, flexible, action-oriented, organized, excellent in multitasking, and have strong interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred:The following skills and attributes are preferred:Experience in the medical device industry conducting risk-based integrated audits and SOX projectsKnowledge of SAP, TeamMate, ACL, and IDEAPublic Accounting experienceCertified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
Benefits:The base compensation range for this role is $70000 - $100000 / year for the position in California. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries in California based on the date of this job posting. Each amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation once such amount is earned and determinable.
