Job Summary
The XR Game Developer will aid Instructional Innovations' Senior XR Developer in developing, testing, and maintaining XR content for the university. In this role, students will interface with game engine technology to create engaging interactions and immersive environments.
The successful candidate will be expected to produce content with guidance from the Senior XR Developer. They will be required to build trust by maintaining confidential materials, and will need to show developed problem-solving skills.
Job Duties
Integration and organization of art assets from student artistsLevel design, scripting, and quality assuranceUsing in-house content creation tools within Unity to develop XR experiences for the classroomWorking hours are flexible. This is a remote position.
Candidate Requirements
Strong understanding of real-time 3D tools such as Unity, Unreal, or GodotAble to work 10-20 hours per weekFoundational understanding of 3D asset pipelines (modeling, texturing, rigging, animation)Ability to work independently and as part of a teamEffective written and verbal communication skillsFoundational understanding of programming languages such as C# or C++Preferred
Proficiency with Unity and C#Level design and/or quality assurance experienceExperience using VR equipment
