As a Splunk Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining Splunk solutions to support our government clients' cybersecurity initiatives.
Responsibilities: - Design, deploy, and maintain Splunk infrastructure and applications, ensuring high availability and performance. - Develop and implement Splunk best practices and security standards to optimize data collection, indexing, and analysis. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement custom Splunk applications and dashboards to meet specific client requirements. - Monitor and troubleshoot Splunk systems, identifying and resolving performance issues, data quality problems, and system outages. - Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering their growth and ensuring the successful delivery of Splunk solutions. - Stay abreast of the latest Splunk features, technologies, and industry trends, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
Requirements: - Hands-on experience working as a Splunk Engineer, including architecture design, implementation, and maintenance. - Strong understanding of Splunk architecture, deployment, and administration, including Splunk Enterprise, and Splunk Universal Forwarder. - Proficiency in developing Splunk searches, reports, dashboards, and alerts to monitor and analyze machine-generated data. - Experience in integrating Splunk with various data sources, such as log files, syslog, APIs, databases, and cloud platforms. - Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) to automate tasks and develop custom Splunk applications. - Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex Splunk-related issues. - Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
