**Procurement Specialist - Manufacturing Buyer**at Inflammatix Sunnyvale **SUMMARY**We are seeking a **Procurement Specialist - Manufacturing Buyer** to join our Manufacturing Operations team. In this role, the successful candidate will be involved in the manufacturing process as well as implement cost reduction measures (design to cost, target costing, standardization, key data, etc.) to achieve the target costs for materials and reduce the overall material costs by fulfilling the necessary functions. Inflammatix, Inc. is reimagining molecular diagnostics by developing rapid point-of-care tests that aid in the diagnose of acute infections and sepsis based on our unique immune profiling technology.**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**:* Activities will include market analysis, supply chain risk assessment, source selection, and contract adherence* Identify and qualify potential suppliers, evaluate, and communicate performance, manage and develop long-term partnerships with suppliers to enhance overall capabilities and result in more efficient product development and a more agile supply chain* Work closely with external suppliers and internal cross functional teams to proactively identify opportunities for implementation of cost savings, lead time reductions, quality enhancements, and overall improved service levels* Collaborate with Supply Assurance, Demand Planning and Manufacturing teams to optimize inventory levels and material flow while maintaining appropriate stock* Identify and execute process improvement projects within the Materials organization to increase the operating efficiencies* Support procurement compliance and adherence of all business and regulatory guidelines* Ability to work independently and meet hard deadlines and product volatility, demonstrate effective teamwork skills, and ability to interact with all levels of the organization**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:*** Bachelors degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline* 3-5 years of relevant procurement and planning experience in a manufacturing supply chain* Experience sourcing vendors through an RFP process and negotiating vendor contracts* Act as a project manager for various supply chain initiatives, RFPs, and supply optimization projects* Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision* Full knowledge and application of the principles and theories of procurement and supply chain* Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook)* Strong oral and written communication and the ability to multitask while be organized and responsive to the organizational needs* Experience issuing Purchase Orders, expediting and managing suppliers* Advanced skills in Microsoft Windows and Office (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint)* This position may require occasional international and domestic travel**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:*** Completed coursework towards CPM and/or CPIM certification* Working knowledge and application of the principles and theories of purchasing/materials**COMPENSATION AND CLASSIFICATION:*** Classification: Full-time* Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience; includes equity package* Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision; 401(k), generous leave and more* Location: Sunnyvale, CA*Inflammatix requires all employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 (subject to any legally protected exemptions).
