Knowledge in Lab Networks 3. Business Services 4. Business Scorecard Job summary Scope of Work for Business Analyst LabNet Project (BPD)1. Introduction The purpose of this Scope of Work (SOW) is to define the responsibilities, deliverables, and requirements for the Business Analyst (BA) working on the LabNet Project. The project aims to implement a secure and segregated network infrastructure to enhance data protection and reduce the risk of unauthorised interactions with critical experiments, minimising downtime for BPD.2. Objectives The primary objectives of the BA role: - Collaborate with the solution architect, network engineers, and wider project team to design and implement a segregated network infrastructure based on best practices and AZ security standards - Facilitate communication between stakeholders, technical teams, and PM to ensure a comprehensive understanding of project goals and requirements3. Responsibilities The Business Analyst will be responsible for the following activities: - Gather and document comprehensive business requirements for the segregated network solution, including functional and non-functional specifications - Collaborate closely with technical teams, such as network engineers and security experts, to translate business needs into clear and concise technical requirements that align with the proposed solution - Create and maintain project documentation, such as detailed use cases and user stories, to serve as a foundation for system design and development - Work in collaboration with the AZ Test Team to assist in the preparation of test plans, test cases, and participate in the testing process to ensure the successful implementation and validation of the segregated network solution - Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including process flows, system requirements, and use cases, to ensure clarity and alignment throughout the project - Identify and address potential risks and issues that may impact the projects progress and success - Provide regular status updates to project stakeholders and escalate any significant issues or delays4. Deliverables include, but are not limited to: The Business Analyst is expected to deliver the following as part of this project: - Review and update where necessary the business requirements document outlining the specific needs and expectations for the segregated network - Detailed technical requirements specification, mapping business requirements to technical solutions, ensuring all aspects are considered for successful implementation - Use cases and user stories that serve as a basis for system design and development, providing clear guidance to the technical teams - Requirement traceability matrix to ensure all business requirements are adequately addressed in the final solution - Test plans and test cases that thoroughly validate the functionality, security, and performance of the segregated network solution, aiding in a smooth rollout and minimising potential risks - Regular status reports and project updates, keeping stakeholders informed of progress, milestones achieved, and any adjustments made to the project plan5. Assumptions and Constraints: The successful completion of the LabNet Project relies on the following assumptions and constraints: - Access to necessary resources, including subject matter experts, and technical specialists to support requirements gathering and analysis - Availability of the BA for regular meetings and discussions, and collaborations with various stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle - Adherence to project timelines and budgets - Collaboration and cooperation from all involved parties, including stakeholders, technical teams, and project manager to foster a collaborative and goal-orientated project environment Years of Experience: 9-10 Years of Experience Diverse Lynx LLC is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
