Technical Project Manager to work from Durham, North Carolina.
Required Skills
3-5 years of experience delivering technology-related services or offerings; open source experience is a plus
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with team members distributed across multiple countries and time zones
Advanced risk and change management skills
Advanced technical knowledge of and experience with software development
Ability to facilitate dynamic and effective virtual meetings over the phone and internet
Familiarity with different project management methodologies, tools, and defect tracking systems
Ability to work well within a team and bring different groups of people together to collaborate in a community setting
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Practical expertise in using and understanding of Linux based operating systems and related technologies is a plus
Nice-to-have Skills
Experience with Atlassian Jira
Experience with Agile methodologies (scrum and kanban)
Primary Job Responsibilities
Work closely with team to develop and maintain plans and schedules for projects and releases
Serve as a point of contact for all program activities, schedule, and status
Effectively communicate to stakeholders and project team members to ensure proper visibility into development efforts
Coordinate and lead team meetings
Perform overall process management like approvals and prioritization
Apply, develop, and improve both existing and new processes
Foster an environment of collaboration, trust, and accountability for departmental or cross-functional teams
