This position is relocation-eligible if the candidate lives more than 50 miles from Sterling Heights, MI About the Role The General Dynamics Land Systems Summer 2024 Internship Program provides an opportunity for students looking to start or continue the transition from academia into industry. Our three-month internship assignments provide compensation based on area of study and class standing, and have the students embedded in key functional areas of our business, getting real-world experience and mentorship from seasoned professionals.As part of your summer experience, you will join our team and use your education, experience, and creativity to make an impact. The Intern will support the Cyber and Command, Control, Communication, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance section with support in Cyber and C4ISR architecture, technology, evaluation, testing and compliance across the US market and support the delivery of products and services to Ground Combat Platforms. Responsibilities to Anticipate for this Role Support the development and management of System requirements and interface allocations and support the enforcement with relevant stakeholders
Support and coordinate requirements, architectures and system designs and any changes, conditions, inputs and final resolution for requirements, trades, and alternatives
Support and conduct trade studies/structured decisions for system and subsystem design including system-level impacts to include balance of space, weight, power, cost, reliability, and performance across a Cyber protection suite
Support the development of verification plans and manage their execution including test and production and field site shakedown and verification
Participate in troubleshooting/Root Cause Corrective Action and problem report/test incident resolution for production, development, test, or modification projects
Evaluate new Cyber and C5ISR technologies for potential use on GDLS products
Participate in peer reviews
Qualifications Sought Pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, related science, or equivalent from a 4-year university or college.Electrical, Computer Science and Cyber Security majors preferred. (Relevant cyber technical certificates and management credentials will be considered). Attained at least a sophomore status based on university/college's class standing requirements at the start of the internship. Preferred - GPA of 3.0 or higher Must be at least 18 yea
