Selectek is looking for a Database Administrator (DBA) to build and maintain database systems of high availability and quality. This is a direct hire position.Required:
3+ years experience as a DBASQL clusters/clusteringExperience managing back ups, DB restores, and integrity checkingExperience with Enterprise Database management tools such as RedgateSkilled with stored proceduresProblem solving skillsBS in Computer Science or technology relatedExperience optimizing a SAN and/or backend storageExperience with DB design and implementation
Job Responsibilities:
Build database systems of high availability and qualityDesign and implement database in accordance to end users information needs and viewsDefine users and enable data distributionsMinimize downtime and manage parameters/store procedures to ensure fast response timesDetermine, enforce, and document database policies, procedures, and standardsPerform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy, and integrityMonitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when requiredMust have strong communication and documentation skills, and show an ability to work in a team environment
