ResponsibilitiesAbout the work

In this role, you will:

Tackle unique, complex problems tied to specific customer needs based on mission success criteria that change from project to project

Research, identify, and use cutting edge web technologies to develop custom solutions

Push the limits on what a browser is capable of in terms of capabilities and performance

Build one-of-a-kind user interfaces in React using Typescript

Use the Nx build system to create and manage packages

Write CSS to enhance and animate UIs focused on an excellent user experience

Develop and work with first- and third-party APIs to pull in wide varieties of data sets

Design data storage solutions in-browser and in external databases

Build, customize, and optimize CI/CD pipelines that deliver better products more quickly and efficiently

Contribute and learn alongside fellow React developers

Work with UX/UI engineers to design delightful, intuitive user interfaces

Have the opportunity to participate in Draper's internal research and development program

This position requires travel for customer meetings, conferences, and test events, as well as a current US security clearance or the ability to obtain one.

QualificationsAbout you

As a developer, you have done the following in a professional setting:

Built multiple medium-size or bigger web apps with Typescript and React

Written CSS with a preprocesor (e.g. Sass) or in JS (e.g. Lineria)

Set up and integrated a JavaScript state management library (e.g. Redux, Mobx)

Set up customized bundlers (e.g. webpack) to add application capabilities

Written tests and automated testing via a CI/CD pipeline

Designed and built databases enabling quick data discovery and retrieval

Controlled code using git in a team, using branches and performing pull requests and merge reviews

Used Agile methodologies to drive towards quicker iteration and ready-to-ship deliverables

It would be great if you have...

Worked with containers (e.g. Docker) and container orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes)

Configured and deployed to cloud services (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure)

Delivered code that meets W3C Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 3.0

Your education...

a BA/BS in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience

a Master's in similar fields is certainly a nice bonus!
