Job Summary:

The Lead Patient Services Representative oversees the administrative duties and operational efficiency of the facility. They are responsible for moving patients through the check in and checkout process, for managing patient complaints, and for ensuring the office is well-organized.

Position Expectations and Responsibilities:Provide a courteous professional working environmentDepending on the business need, provide operational oversight to a location in the absence of the Center Manager

Including the completion of end-of-day processes

Escalates employee relations issues to Regional Director of Operations for guidanceMaintain effective communication with patients, coworkers, and supervisorMaintain efficient patient flowUpdate patient demographicsInterview patients for sliding fee scale services and update eligibilityVerify insurances and set eligibility dates in systemCall and remind the patients to bring in missing information to their appointmentCollect payments and patient responsible balancesPost charges to patient’s accountsScan and import demographic and clinical documentation into patient chartsSchedule appointments as neededMonitor patient schedule to accommodate walk-in patientsOther responsibilities as assignedMinimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalentMinimum of one-year medical office management experienceKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Customer friendly attitudeKnowledge of ICD-10 & CPT codesMoney and balancing skillsKnowledge of bank depositsGood communication skillsAble to function effectively under stressGood evaluative judgmentComputer literacyAble to perform accurate data entryAbility to multi-taskAdditional Qualifications:

Bilingual a plus (Creole, Spanish)Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods of timeAbility to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions for extended periods of timeAbility to handle and/or feel objects, tools, etc.

Reports to the Regional Director of Operations
