Database Developer (Hybrid position required to be in the office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday)Please consider joining our technology team at Throtle as a Database Developer. In this role, you will be part of the team that is responsible for transforming and maintaining billions of records that make Throtle's data onboarding solution work. You'll need to be able to evaluate incoming data, perform specialized transformations, and standardize it for consumption by multiple processes. You'll be working environment where quality and attention to detail are paramount.
RESPONSIBILITIESDesign, build, and maintain ETL code that transforms data into various formats for storage and workflow/pipeline processingParticipate in data modelingAssist in fine-tuning search queries and designing tables, views, indexesProactively monitor database systems ensuring availability and performanceWork with application developers in designing/implementing data workflows/pipelinesSolid problem-solving skills for data analysis & reportingParticipate in the testing process through unit testing and bug fixesQUALIFICATIONS
2-3 years in a working environment utilizing RDBMS such as Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL or OracleExperience in building and maintaining data transformations (ETL) using SQL or scripting/programming languages such as Python, Scala, JavaExperience with large data sets - regularly transforming and querying tables or sets of 100 million recordsAbility to analyze, troubleshoot, and performance-tune SQLHands-on with database performance, security, and integrityExperience in database design, development, and data modelingAbility to identify problems, and effectively communicate solutions to peers and managementAbout Throtle:
