Position Duties and Responsibilities:Provides nutritional expertise in the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of patient programs.Utilizes latest scientific and computer knowledge in providing and evaluating services.Participates in planning, implementing, monitoring, evaluating and reporting on performance improvement of healthy eating habits and proper nutrition activities.Speaks to groups to promote healthy eating habits and proper nutrition.Communicates with patients to learn about their health goals and dietary needs, preferences, and restrictions.Develops nutrition plans for patients.Compiles information and tracks client progress towards their health goals.Enters patient information in the patient database.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree.Graduate from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) or completion of a Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) accredited by the ACEND or completion of a post- Baccalaureate degree Dietetic Internship Program of supervised practice (for a minimum of 1200 hours) accredited by ACEND.Possess current registration as a Registered Dietitian from the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.Current hands on Heartsaver AED CPR course from a nationally accredited agency (such as American Heart Association or American Red Cross).One year of specialized experience in diet therapy after graduation.Current, full, active, and unrestricted dietetics license or certification.Must be a US Citizen.Potomac Healthcare Solutions offers the following benefits:
