Sun Commodities is a privately held company and we are one of the main players in the wholesale of produce in the State of Florida. Sun group of companies distributes produce locally, internationally and services the cruise ships industry for over 20+ years!

The Application Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining company application infrastructures and software-based processes.
The job will include, but not be limited to:
Maintain and develop application infrastructures for use for company operationsCreate Android and web-based applications for use throughout the companyPerform various project requests for various departmentsBuild and maintain Data Marts and Data CubesUtilize company approved versioning such as the company GitLab, Git and TFSWrite C#, Java, VB, python, and C++ programs for process improvementWrite store procedure in SQL to retrieve data from RetalixAssist in resolving administrative and operation problemsProvides information by answering questions and requestsMinimum Requirements:
AA- Computer Information Systems degree or equivalentA minimum of two to three years of experience with primary responsibilityRequires experience in MS SQL, MySQL, and IBM DB2 database schemasRead and writing Structure Query Language (SQL), Android, C#, Java, JavaScript, php3, HTML5, python and C++Experience in project coordination, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors.Sensitivity to confidential matters may be required.Must be proficient using Microsoft Office as Project Plan, Vision, Excel, etc.Ability to prioritize projects and strong problem-solving skillsMust have excellent communications skills – written and verbalStrong and professional communication skills (written and oral) in EnglishInterpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team environmentAbility to manage and complete multiple responsibilities within established timeframes.Experience with Android Studio, Eclipse, Visual Studio, and other IDE platformsPhysical Requirements/Work Environment:
No unusual physical requirement and nearly all work is performed in a comfortable indoor facility.Job frequently requires sitting, handling objects with hands, standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, and lifting to 20 pounds.Routine deadlines; usually sufficient lead time; variance in work volume seasonal and predictable; priorities can be anticipated; some interruptions are present; travel or other inconveniences have advance notice; involves occasional exposure to demands and pressures from persons other than immediate supervisor.Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
