Position: Pharmacist
Location: Grapevine,TX
Shift: PRN- Weekends
Position – Pharmacist
This position description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification. Position Summary
Performs and participates in supporting pharmacological services by stocking, assembling, and distributing medications. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Position Responsibilities
Supervise pharmacy technicians and other support staff effectively
Interpret orders and transcribe or verify them accurately into the clinical information system
Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, drug-drug interactions, drug-food interactions, allergies and appropriateness of drug and dose
Provide clinical consultation and clarification to practitioners
Attend daily clinical rounds
Provide accurate and timely medication information to patients and providers
Participate in required training programs for pharmacists
Other Responsibilities
Completes required orientation as directed by facility
Follows facility and OSHA safety rules and procedures while on assignment
Follows facility Unusual Occurrence Protocol
Respects cultural and religious practices of patients
Upholds HIPAA regulations
Punctual and dependent for assigned/confirmed shifts
Position Requirements
Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy
Current Texas Pharmacist license in good standing
Minimum 1 year of recent pharmacist experience in a hospital setting
PGY1 Residency preferred
IV Certification
