The NeuroMedical Center Rehabilitation Hospital is in search of a PRNOccupational Therapist to work in the inpatient rehabilitation setting.Responsibilities:
The occupational therapist must be able to effectively complete comprehensive evaluations, establishtreatment plans of care, and provide appropriate occupational therapy treatments to patients with a varietyof neurological diagnosis and impairments. The focus of occupational therapy in inpatient rehabilitation isto maximize each patient's recovery and level of functional ability including but not limited to: neuromuscularrecovery (through neurorehabilitation), functional mobility skills improvement, activities of daily living skills andindependent activities of daily living skills improvement, cognitive skills improvement and proper use ofadaptive equipment as needed.This position also requires effective communication skills to provide continuity of care between therapists andtreatment sessions, to educate, and train caregivers, and to provide an interdisciplinary team approach to eachpatient's care.
Qualifications:Must be an Occupational Therapist with a current Louisiana license.Master's DegreeOne year or more experience
