SMRT has immediate openings for full-time Senior Architects specializing in Health & Wellness in our growing Massachusetts and New York offices. Our award-winning Health & Wellness practice thrives on complex, sustainable, design-oriented projects across the continuum of care. This position is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves a challenge and strives to take their skills to the next level in a supportive, growth-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities and Requirements :

Works closely with the Health & Wellness Market Sector Leader to lead health care projects, mentor staff, and further expand SMRT's regional presence in Massachusetts and New YorkActs as the primary client contact on projects, motivated to build and maintain lasting relationships through outstanding client serviceParticipates in marketing and business development activities including representing SMRT at events, identifying leads, writing proposals, and delivering presentationsNegotiates contracts with owners and consultantsManages projects and project teams successfully, including assuming responsibility for meeting construction budget and schedule requirementsEnsures documentation meets Quality Control standards and may conduct QC reviews of contract documentsMay conduct technical and peer reviews of complex projectsCollaborates across disciplines and with internal design, sustainability, and project delivery leadersSuccessful track record in leading healthcare projects and teams at all scalesDemonstrated success in winning new work and enjoys business developmentAction oriented; able to analyze, synthesize and use data strategically relative to SMRT's goalsEffective interpersonal and written communication skills.Strong track record of successful healthcare project management.Skilled in early project conceptualization, programming, and planning.Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative, open environment.Willingness to travelExpert knowledge of national, state, and local codes and standards as they pertain to healthcare.Advanced knowledge of and ability to leverage Revit.Committed to staying current with professional and industry trends and maintaining professional license.Mentors architectural staff.SMRT rewards hard work and creativity with a competitive compensation package that includes:

Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements:

1. 5-year B-Arch, or BA/BS with M-Arch highly desired.

2. Professional registered architect with 10+ years of relevant healthcare design experience

3. NCARB certification highly desired.

4. LEED certification highly desired.

Salary Description

$85,000 - $100,000 per year
