The Building People are seeking a qualified Data Analyst Lead to support a growing portfolio of federal government, local government, non-profit, and commercial customers – all while operating remotely. The Data Analyst Lead will have the following responsibilities:

Attend in-person meetings when remote participation is not possible, wherein the meetings will occur on short notice (within one to two hours).

Attend one meeting per week, and up to three meetings per week, onsite at government facilities.

Interpret data from a database, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports.

Utilize SQL to perform queries and quality assurance on data to ensure compliance with business rules and any other data quality elements.

Develop and implement data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.

Provide and assist in the development of program presentations.

Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.

Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.

Filter and “clean” data by reviewing reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct any data problems.

Work with leadership to prioritize business and information needs.

Provide reports and analysis as required by leadership.

Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.

Minimum Requirements:

Experience and Skills

Work experience as a data analyst or in a related field.

10+ years of work experience in installation management (including but not limited to Network Enterprise Technology for the federal government).

5+ years of specialized work experience in applicable area (e.g., Real Property or Business Systems for the federal government).

Experience with SQL.

Ability to work with stakeholders to assess potential risks.

Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations.

Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical, lay terms.

Experience in methodologies and processes for managing large-scale databases.

Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently with minimum oversight while maintaining schedule discipline.

Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills.

Effective time management skills with the ability to meet tight schedules.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Access, Adobe Acrobat and Internet Explorer (or a comparable internet browser application).

Education and Certifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in computer science or another related field.

Higher education (i.e., a master's degree) is not a substitute for work experience.

US Citizenship.

Ability to meet Federal & DoD Government security background checks, HSPD-12, Fingerprinting, plus agency-specific screening.

Ability to operate within a NIST 800-171 compliant security environment internally and able to support all client-required cyber security data and operational processes. Value and protect company, colleague, and customer data.

2+ years successfully working from home or a remote location, with minimal supervision. Environment must provide adequate workspace and high-speed internet connectivity.

Travel may be required for this position based on the company needs of the more remote hiring areas.
