Description:The Assistant Quality Assurance Supervisor will help manage, in conjunction with the HACCP/Quality Assurance Supervisor, the Quality Assurance Technician and production related activities in order to meet production and quality goals. The Assistant Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for helping to identify issues related to product quality and food safety and help to make decisions about processing problems in conjunction with the Quality Assurance Department and Operations Department. Support continuous improvement goals in safety, production, and quality. The Assistant Quality Assurance Supervisor reports to the Quality Assurance Supervisor.

Responsibilities:• Daily verification and review of documentation related to HACCP and Prerequisite Programs.• Oversee and assist Quality Control Technician during daily operational and pre-operational verification, in-process verifications, and other line checks throughout the day.• Responsible for daily, weekly, monthly sanitation inspections and internal audits.• Identify the need of Corrective Actions, responsible for implementation of Corrective Actions and making sure preventative actions are followed.• Oversee daily production and monitor all quality and food safety records for adherence to specifications.• Communicate all cross-functional shift activities from other shifts to the operational team daily• Making sure all company Quality programs are followed properly.• Perform duties of the Quality Control Supervisor during any planned or unplanned absences• Other duties as required by Quality Assurance Supervisor.• Work with the USDA - FSIS Inspector on a daily/ongoing basis. Maintain a healthy relationship and assist USDA in all matters as a primary point of contact, along with the Quality Control Supervisor, on the production floor.• Helping in preparation and host of Third-Party Audits.

Requirements:• High School Diploma• Quality Control experience• At least 2 years work experience in manufacturing environment. Food Manufacturing experience preferred.• Must have good organizational and communication skills.• Self-Disciplined and time management skills.• Hours are 1st shift; must be flexible.
