IT - Database Administrator

This position is a Corporate IT senior database engineer, reporting directly to the Leader of the Systems Group in IT Operations. Provides programming and management functions for enterprise computing systems at client for both on-premise and cloud environments. Responsibilities include working as a member of the systems team on the administration, integration and maintenance of computing systems. Works with the business stakeholders and users to accomplish complex system integration, deployment, system performance analyses, problem resolution, and system security initiatives. Works with senior staff on the development of system management strategies, architectural assessments, system tools, and software for the administration of production systems. Monitoring system performance and identifying problems that arise. Responding in a timely manner to user-reported errors. Protecting the database against threats or unauthorized access. Reporting on metrics regarding usage and performance. Suggesting changes and improvements for database maintenance or protection.
