The Position
Our client is seeking to fill a remote Credit Analyst - ICRE role. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing complex financial information and cash flow of existing and potential borrowing clients for purposes of approving or denying a loan request, and presenting information in comprehensive documents with relevant financial data and narrative. The incumbent is expected to act in a professional manner and within the accepted standards and practices of the industry.The first two weeks of this position will be in Indianapolis, IN.The position includes a salary of up to $70K and an excellent benefits package.Credit Analyst - ICRE responsibilities include
Analyze the financial condition and cash flow of borrowers; analysis to include identification of trends in financial ratios, analysis of balance sheet and income statement changes and trends, guarantor analysis, and collateral analysisConvert financial statements into a common-size spreadsheet utilizing financial spreading softwareConduct in in-depth review of rent rolls, leases, income statements, CoStar, appraisal reports, guarantor financials, global cash flow statements, and other financial information to determine, independently that the borrower can generate income and cash flow sufficient to repay existing and proposed debtsPresent findings in comprehensive credit approval documents that outline the loan request and the financial condition of the borrower, including relevant financial data and narrativeCommunicate with lenders and/or borrowers to obtain necessary information regarding the borrowerAssist lenders with structuring/underwriting loansAssist Credit Operations Specialist as needed with updating borrower financial statement requirements and covenant requirements in tracking softwareAssist Credit Underwriting Associates as they prepare financial statement spreads on behalf of the Credit Officer and under their supervisionPerform quality control review of imaged documents

College degree in accounting, finance, economics or business; a minimum of 6 hours of college-level accounting coursework required, including intermediate financial accountingMinimum of 2-5 years of experience in credit analysis at a bank with assets of $1 billion or more; experience analyzing complex investment CRE borrowers with deal and/or relationship size between $2 million and $20 million; demonstrated skills in areas such as rent rolls, leases, cash flow, market analysis, and guarantor global cash flow analysis for commercial real estate loansExceptional ability to analyze and interpret all types of financial statements, formulate conclusions, and present findings in a narrative credit analysis memoExperience analyzing borrowing base certificates and underlying assets comprising the certificate to determine if the borrower is in complianceDemonstrated ability to create, interpret, and test borrower loan covenantsProven verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey information about a borrower’s financial status in commonly understood termsDemonstrated ability to think critically, make well-reasoned assumptions and solve problemsExperience with and strong working knowledge of standard computer applications, especially Word, Excel, and Adobe AcrobatHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detailStrong initiative and ability to manage multiple lender requests, organizing and prioritizing tasks as appropriate; ability to work independently and meet deadlinesThe next step is yours.
