While in Hermiston, be sure to savor the flavor of locally brewed beer at Hermiston Brewing Company and take advantage of the fishing here as well by visiting the Columbia and Umatilla Rivers (don't forget the Cold Springs Reservoir here too!). About the facility:

Regency Hermiston and Rehabilitation Center offers Skilled Nursing and Long-Term Care Services while focusing on the unique qualities of each individual in a compassionate and care environment. Their experienced team of nursing, dietary, social services, therapy, therapeutic recreation, and certified nursing assistants provide physician-directed care, based on the needs of each individual. Their programs offer a full range of treatments when recovering from a serious injury, illness or surgery. Through collaboration with the resident, their family, medical providers, and their staff, they develop a personalized plan that promotes faster recovery so the resident can return home sooner.

Phys Therapist - RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to)

Plan, review, and implementation of treatment programs based upon initial and interim evaluations.Communication and collaboration with the patients, family members, caregivers, interdisciplinary professionals, and other internal/external elements both orally and in writing.Adapt assessment tools and treatments to the complexity of the diagnosis or disabilities and demonstrates the clinical reasoning necessary to identify the need for further in-depth specific assessment of function and utilization of non-standard methods and techniques.Documents plan of care and care given in patient's medical record.Monitors patient's response to interventions, modifies treatment plan, and re-evaluates as indicated to meet short-term and long-term goals.Expected to interpret findings from examination and evaluation, select appropriate test and measures, and integrate findings in the physical therapy plan of care for the full range of patient populations.Fits devices for patient needs and instruct patients/care providers in the use of these devices.Develops home programs for patients as needed prior to discharge and instructs patients, family, or caregivers in implementation of home program.Provide consultation, as needed, to peers and other staff responsible for the care of the assigned patient.Provide clinical oversite and collaboration with physical therapy assistants.Provide patient care which is appropriate to cognitive, emotional, and chronological maturation needs of young adult, middle adult, and older adult patients.Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.Physical Therapist - REQUIREMENTS

Graduate from Physical Therapy program.Current license as a Physical Therapist or ability to obtain in the state of Oregon.Must meet Clinical Competency requirements.Current CPR certification preferred but not required.
