FULL TIME/PART TIME - EXEMPT
Thrive Behavioral Health, a nationally recognized, progressive Community Mental Health Center and Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic is seeking team oriented, Board Certified/ Board Eligible Adult Psychiatrists, either full or part time to join our Psychiatric Service Team. As a member of our multi-disciplinary team you will provide direct psychiatric services to a diverse population, focusing on recovery of adult clients with mental health disorders, histories of trauma, and substance abuse.
General Summary:
Provide comprehensive evaluations, treatment planning, medication prescribing, and consultation services to members of clinical treatment teams and our integrated primary care practice.
Essential Responsibilities:
Prescribe and monitor appropriate medication/psychiatric treatments to Thrive clientele in keeping with Thrive's policies and procedures;Act as a member of Thrive treatment teams;Serve as consultant on medical/psychiatric issues to other members of clinical treatment teams;Serve on Thrive committees such as Utilization Review and Quality Assurance, etc., as assigned;Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other medical service providers in the community;Incorporate Thrive's mission and Guiding Principles in the performance of professional duties;Serve as an educational resource to staff, clients, and the general public regarding medical issues and behavioral health;Promote Thrive's culture of learning and growing by serving as a mentor, facilitator, educator and consultant to all Thrive staff on program and service issuesAdditional Responsibilities:
Attend all agency/department required training and meetings within the prescribed period.Attend all Safety Training programs and be able to describe his/her responsibilities related to the general safety, department safety, and specific job-related hazards and responsibilities.Demonstrate respect and regard for the dignity of all clients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environment.Embrace Thrive's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Mission Statement and Definitions.Present a neat appearance in proper attire and identification as required by the position, department and agency policies and procedures.Work the hours and/or shifts assigned, and begin and end on time.Carry and enliven a positive Thrive image consistent with the Thrive's Guiding Principles and professional code of ethics.Function, as member of a team, i.e., be a "Team Player".Education, Experience and Competencies:
Doctorate Degree in Medicine from an accredited institution of higher learning required.Minimum five (5) years' experience working with an SPMI (severe mental illness) population preferred.Certifications, Licenses Requirements:
Board Licensed Physician Certified in Psychiatry. Licensed in the State of Rhode Island.Valid DEA license.Ability to be credential with Insurance Providers.Valid driver's license required or ability to obtain necessary transportation in order to perform the responsibilities/tasks of the job.
