Come work at the best place to give and receive care!?Job Description:Outpatient Psychiatrist Needed- Elliot Hospital- Manchester NHElliot Health System (EHS) in New Hampshire’s vibrant Queen City of Manchester, is currently seeking an adult psychiatrist to join our Behavioral Health team. Outpatient office currently consists of 3 psychiatrists, 4 PMH-APRNs, 5 therapists and 1 behavioral health case manager, with plans for growth within the department. No hospital coverage required. The cornerstone of EHS is Elliot Hospital, a 296- bed acute care facility, recently credentialed as an ACS Level II Trauma Center. The mainstay of our organization is the Elliot Physician Network, which employs a collaborative and engaged team of primary care physicians and specialists. Our state of the art outpatient practices, located throughout the Southern New Hampshire area, bring the most comprehensive care to patients and families where they work and live. With a fully integrated Epic EMR, our clinicians enjoy the ability to provide continuity of care for our patients at every EHS location.Provides assessment, treatment and education of patients. Coordinates treatment with agencies and organizations for the delivery of care. Provides care in a professional, efficient and ethical manner, as well as in accordance with the standards and recommendations of Joint Commission, applicable laws and regulations of the State of New Hampshire, and philosophy of Elliot Health System (EHS).KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1.Patient Care- Whether in the inpatient or outpatient setting, provides assessment of individuals by obtaining a comprehensive history, examines the patient to obtain objective physical data and supporting information through laboratory and imaging modalities, formulates a differential diagnosis and develops a reasonable treatment plan to include pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions, making appropriate referrals as indicated. Collaborates with nursing, support personnel and administration in matters affecting patient care. Ensures the protection of patient rights and adherence to HIPAA regulations. Ensures appropriate handoff communications are accomplished.2.Documentation of Services- Maintains ongoing documentation of patient interventions within the timeframe established by EPN/EPS policy, to include documentation of initial assessment, treatment plans, progress notes and any other patient interactions, to include telephone calls.3.Quality Improvement -Participates in Network QI activities that, at a minimum, are necessary for Joint Commission accreditation and to comply with the bylaws of the Medical Staff of the Elliot Hospital.4.Office/Unit Operations- Works with staff to maintain the efficient operation of the practice, collaborating with nursing, support personnel, and administration in matters affecting the efficient operation of the practice. Participates in staff meetings and cooperates with practitioners and co-workers to achieve departmental objectives. Regularly attends departmental and State of the Network meetings. Regularly reads communications regarding network updates and projects and contributes to efforts as indicated.5.Patient Experience- Communicates effectively with patients and their families regarding diagnoses, goals, treatment plans and medications to achieve patients’ expectations, provide timely results and engages them in their care. Has not been subject to a formal review of a patient complaint by a hospital committee.6.Credentialing Submits-Credentialing and re-credentialing information to the Office Manager in a timely fashion once requested by Medical Staff Service Department.7.Policies and Procedures- Adheres to all Elliot policies and procedures including, but not limited to; infection control procedures, safety procedures, Universal Precautions, patient confidentiality and security policies.QP = Quality PerformanceDP = Distinguished Performer8.On-Call Responsibilities- Participates in call coverage as required with other providers, which includes coverage of other practices as defined by the call group, Elliot Hospital, and nursing facilities. Responds to ED pages within 15 minutes.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE1.Education:Medical degree from an accredited medical school. Residency and fellowship training as required for specialty from an accredited program.2.Experience:3.Certification/Licensure:Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New Hampshire.
