GridironIT is seeking an Information Technology Consultant local to the Hampton, VA area to go onsite at Langley AFB.Active Secret Clearance is REQUIRED.
Job Description:Provide daily onsite expertise to maintain persistent cyber readiness and assess and report cyber readiness using Joint Force Headquarters - DoD Information Network (JFHQ-DODIN) Command Cyber Readiness Inspection (CCRI) criteria. Analyze trends and concerns, and report key findings. Become integrally involved in essential cybersecurity processes, including vulnerability management, configuration and change management, incident response, and risk management. Review compliance data, including system and network scans, status reports, and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) checklists and assist with research to understand proper configuration and operation of enterprise cybersecurity tools, including Assured Compliance Assessment Solution, End Point Security and Host-Based Security System, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Solar Winds Orion, and Tanium, among others. Assist with research and preparation of Risk Management Framework (RMF) assessment and authorization documents. Maintain awareness of changes to governing policies, processes, and procedures impacting the security of data and information systems and coordinate with organizational leaders, operators, and peers supporting other locations, visiting teams for technical assistance, and headquarters staff. Provide information briefings to organizational leadership, lead cybersecurity-related discussions and meetings, and analyze written products to support these.Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of experience with working in CybersecurityExperience with DoD, US government, or commercial best practices for Cybersecurity planning, installation, operation, or maintenance of IT systemsKnowledge of common Cybersecurity tools, policies, and processesKnowledge of STIGs, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) guidance for security best practices, and the Assessment and Authorization processes and standardsKnowledge of configuration management, technology, and cybersecurity best practices, policies, processes, manuals, guides, and other publications outlining standards needed to administer a comprehensive Cybersecurity programAbility to use the Microsoft Office suite of applications for documentation, analysis, and presentation of cybersecurity posture data and informationAbility to conduct independent research to develop solutions to problems that arise, including through web-based meansSecret clearanceBachelor's degreeDoD 8570 or 8140 Information Assurance Technician, Level II Certification
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), McAfee Endpoint Security System (ESS), Host Based Security System (HBSS), Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), or Windows Services Update Service (WSUS)Experience with conducting cybersecurity assessments, inspections, or auditsExperience with teaching or training cybersecurity-related content to cybersecurity and non-cybersecurity audiencesMaster's degreeIAT, IAM, or IASAE Level III Certification, including PMP or other advanced IT and Cybersecurity Certifications
