The Procurement Specialist is a part-time, in-person role as part of our Operations, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing team. We are looking for a self-motivated individual to join our team and be an influential member of the infrastructure that fuels the growth and profitability of our operations and in-house manufacturing processes. This individual will own the supply chain processes related to procurement, inventory management, and warehousing, and thereby also participate in all production scheduling and processes. This position will report to the Plant Operations Manager starting at 20-30 hours a week with room to grow into a full-time role within 6-12 months.Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement supply chain management tools from sourcing to distribution, encompassing inventory management and procurement.Generate purchase orders and ensure network supply is aligned with production schedules for timely deliveries.Monitor and maintain optimal inventory, safety stock, and replenishment levels.Act as the primary liaison with suppliers, addressing pricing, lead times, and MOQs.Catalog and update part numbers for new materials and products in our database.Ensure master files for product parts are current, encompassing both supplier data and internal records.Organize incoming materials: sort, label, reconcile with part numbers, and store accurately.Lead routine inventory counting sessions, spanning weekly to quarterly frequencies.Engage in purchasing maintenance and engineering components; manage stock reviews and BOM orders.Collaborate with the Plant Operations Manager to uphold post-production shipping and receiving standards, ensuring prompt order dispatch.Participate as a production member occasionally to acquaint yourself with our operations and where parts are used.Other duties as assigned.Things to enjoy:

You have a bachelor’s degree (preferred).You have at least 4 years of experience in a procurement setting within a manufacturing environment, chemical manufacturing.You are self-motivated and ambitious to build something, and adaptable to perform well when given the ability to set your own schedule and goals.You love working on a team and can demonstrate working well with others in a manufacturing environment.You are a detail-oriented individual who can delve into the intricate details of our operations while effectively managing the complexities and dynamic nature of a chemical manufacturing environment.You are willing to participate in continuous learning and training.You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Slides), MRP, ERP, and QuickBooks.
