We are looking for students who want to move and improve the world! If you have interests in the areas of Computer Aided Design (CAD), product development, manufacturing, and problem solving, you have come to the right place. You can gain real world work experience while making an impact on the design of our products in the Locomotive, Transit, Marine and Stationary, or Mining Propulsion systems businesses. Wabtec's Product Definition Co-ops will work in Unigraphics NX and Teamcenter to create manufacturing drawings that may include anything from sheet metal, heavy fabrication, forged parts, and electric motors, to piping, cabling, or mechanical and electrical assemblies.
Our semester long Co-op Program encourages college students to explore their professional interests while working on real business projects. Our program goal is to bring your academic topics to life, give you an opportunity to see what job opportunities are possible and prepare each student for a potential full-time position after graduation.
Requirements - We are looking for YOU if you have:
Have completed at least one semester of College.Are enrolled in an accredited Associates Degree or higher program in Engineering, Mechanical Design, Computer Aided Design, or related technical program.Have and maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale after completing at least one semester of college.Are legally authorized to work in the U.S., without the need for current or future work status authorization or visa sponsorship for employment.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Experience with 3D modeling, assembly and drafting work using CAD softwareStrong initiative with the ability to work independently and in teams.Strong desire to learn and develop technically in the CAD domainAbility to communicate technical aptitude, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Effective communication & interpersonal skills.
