Overview

TELECOMMUNICATIONS SPECIALSIT (OSD):

Bowhead seeks a Telecommunications Specialist to support the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Test and Evaluation (JTE&E), Joint Program Office (JPO) supporting Joint/Joint Agency, Combatant Command, and Service joint tests and quick reaction tests.

Responsibilities

Receiving VTC system reservation requirements from authorized officials and organizations.

Plan, coordinate, and schedule conferences for a Department of the Army Schedule D VTC facility, two multi-user VTC enterprise facilities, and all desktop computer VTC devices in the headquarters.

Review and evaluate requirements and recommend plans for obtaining the desired results or objectives of the VTC conference.

Provide technical support in connection with VTC operations, applications, and administration to include direct coordination with remote and bridging sites.

Initiate pre-conference preparations in accordance with customer requirements.

Test equipment and set up room or computers to accommodate special user needs.

Establish calls with the network operations center and/or remote stations.

Attend VTCs in a multi-user facility to operate microphones, cameras, media projectors, and external applications.

Review, develop, and interpret policies and procedures for the video presentation of materials, video production methods, and protocols.

Operate the VTCs in compliance with appropriate policies, procedures, regulations, and security guidance.

IT customer service to DoD end-users, maintaining Windows servers/workstations, and ensuring compliance with DISA STIGs.

Load and configure Microsoft Windows workstations and servers to comply with DISA’s regulations.

Apply STIGs to the workstations and devices according to DISA’s guidelines.

Safeguarding and accounting for COMSEC materials and maintaining a JWICS network.

Maintain and troubleshoot T1 and T3 communications lines and equipment.

Serve as a Trusted Agent and/or personal identification number (PIN) control representative for SIPRNET and alternate tokens.

Providing data management techniques and processes, including data collection, data validation, and data storage.

Working with database structures and database requirements.

Assisting project Database Managers in the development of Data Management Analysis Plans.

Identifying automated data collection processes and systems services.

Assisting in collection and analysis of data identified in the Integrated Data Requirements List and Test Data Requirements Matrix as directed by the project director, test analysis and reports.

Developing, maintaining, and controlling the test data, test incident reporting, and test products database.

Managing data certification, validation, and analysis.

Providing Information Technology customer service to DoD end‐users.

Providing local help desk support to Joint Service Provider users for applications, connectivity, and printer troubleshooting.

Providing in-house Audio-Visual System support, to include setup of presentations from external sources.

Qualifications

Ten (10+) years’ of experience required.

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required

Proficient in Excel, Word, and Power Point.

Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated strong attention to detail.

Demonstrated skills in prioritization and multi-tasking.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds

Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time

Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Top Secret/SCI level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Top Secret clearance at this location.
