Job Summary
Under limited supervision, the Client Services Representative II responds directly or indirectly to policyholder and/or agent inquiries.
Essential FunctionsUpdate beneficiary changes, address changes, forms requests, etc. into databasePolicy provisions, policy changes/conversions, reinstatements, withdrawal historiesEnsure compliance with company standards and maintains customer filesHandle customer complaints in a professional courteous manageEnsures outstanding issues are resolved appropriatelyMay calculate cash values, premium refunds/changes, loan balances or other such valuesPerform similarly related activities as necessaryCovering for Client Service Representative III's as neededPosition Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Must be able to learn, comprehend and apply tax regulations as they apply to distributions andchanges to annuity and life policiesAbility to perform complex manual mathematical calculationsStrong organizational skillsDemonstrated skill and ability in dealing with the publicKnowledge and skill at applying customer service theories and practicesStrong written and oral communication skills necessaryBasic computer knowledge and keyboarding skillsThorough knowledge of company products or similarAbility to communicate effectively with customers by telephoneExperience & Experience
High school or GED required with 3 years call center customer service or office administrativeexperience in a fast paced organization; or Associates degree with 1-2 years related experiencePrior insurance industry experience preferred.
