Front Desk Agent

Responsible for checking guests in and out of the hotel, assisting with general information, and accommodating guests of the Resort.

Main Duties:Complete guest registration and check out processesGreets, registers, and assigns rooms to guestsSelect rooms based on guest needs and code appropriate room keysHandle cash, credit card, currency conversions and other financial transactionsComputes bill, collects payment, and makes change for guestsEnsure guest satisfaction by respond guest inquiries with accurate information and a positive attitudeAnswers inquiries pertaining to hotel services; registration of guests; and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directionsRespond to phone calls, retrieve guest mail, faxes and packagesMakes restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservation, and arranges for toursMaintain familiarity of operations of Bell Desk, Front Desk, Night Audit, Recreation and Reservations including hotel computer systemDevelop a strong knowledge of Resort activities, Girdwood Valley activities, and other potential points of interest to guestsField and help resolve guest complaintsProvide constant and consistent communications with guest services and Front Office ManagerPosts charges such as room, food, liquor, or telephone, to ledgerOther duties as assignedWhy Alyeska?

Skills/Requirements:

Previous front desk experience preferred. Computer literacy required. Ability to communicate with all ages of guests, along with all levels of colleagues and leadership.
