is looking for a
PAS Clerk
to service a range of functions to include, but not be limited to, verifying beneficiary eligibility via the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) system, updating patient demographic information, and scheduling beneficiary requests for Military Treatment Facility (MTF) primary or specialty care appointments, as well as completing requests for cancellations and appointment rescheduling.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to) :Complete outbound calls to facilitate the timely scheduling of specialty appointments in support of specialty referrals generated by an MTF Health Care Provider (HCP).Make outbound calls to facilitate scheduling of preventative health appointments and surgery reminder callsScheduling and coordinating appointments with other Military Health System MTFs to meet beneficiary health care needs within TRICARE access standardsPatient Appointment Scheduling / CancellationsCall routing and documentationSecure Messaging SupportQualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalency
Required Knowledge/Experience:
Skilled in Word, Excel, Access, and other software programsExcellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skillsMust be able to obtain clearance to access the work site and be granted a Common Access Card (CAC).Must be able to clearly communicate, verbally and written with coworkers and clinic staff.Relevant military experience may be substituted for some requirements
Preferred Knowledge/Experience:
Healthcare administrative experience
Training Requirements
Technical training which will focus on systems architecture, mandatory system procedures, security requirements, and functional operating procedures to include patient appointing, referral management and clear and legible reporting
Work Hours:
PAS services are performed from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
