The Clinical Program Coordinator is responsible for oversight of clinical program performance, compliance and reporting. The Clinical Program Coordinator serves as a clinical resource within the organization to facilitate interprofessional collaboration and promote program objectives. Responsible for program outcome deliverables associated with quality, safety, access, patient experience, operational, and financial measures. This job profile is developed in alignment with the ANA Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice, ANA Code and Ethics and the UVA Health-University Medical Center Nursing Professional Practice Model.

Clinical Resource:

Serves as a clinical resource for clinical teams and leaders.

Coordinates and/or contributes to the development of practice guiding resources (policies, procedures, guidelines, protocol orders, etc.) effectively utilizing organization interprofessional governance structures.

Maintains in-depth knowledge of current and evolving evidence and best practices related to the clinical program and patient population.

Quality Monitoring and Reporting:

Participates in and ensures accurate collection of data related to clinical program. May include program process measures as well as patient outcome measures.

Reviews and analyzes data to identify trends to ensure program goal achievement.

Responsible for outcomes/data presentation in a variety of venues and formats.

Identifies potential and actual risks and appropriately escalates as needed to mitigate or resolve.

Manages all appropriate elements of regulatory or program requirements. Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI):

Lead and manage a systemic and coordinated approach to quality measurement and improvement initiatives.

Utilizes Lean methods and a variety of QAPI tools.

Leads and actively participates in QAPI projects.

Coordination and Collaboration:

Collaborates with senior leaders to identify and develop strategic goals and plans.

Collaborates with subject matter experts as needed to develop understanding of workflows, resources, and pertinent information.

As applicable, participates in research efforts relevant to the clinical program or patient population.

Serve as a liaison to the UVA Health community, external and credentialing agencies.

Coordinate regulatory site visit preparation materials and documents as applicable.

Collaborates with stakeholders in process improvement efforts.

Participates in projects as a subject matter expert.

In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Position Compensation Range: $71,988.80 - $115,190.40 Annual

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing from accredited nursing program, Master's degree in related field within 4 years of hire.

Experience: Three years progressive experience and relevant clinical nursing experience required.

Licensure: Must be a registered nurse and currently licensed to practice in the State of Virginia. Specialty Board Certification strongly preferred.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Certification: Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers and may require occasional travel. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
