Marine & Waterfront Engineering Internship

Where would you step in?You will sit in either our

Providence, RI or North Kingstown, RI office

and will work in a hybrid office/remote/field model.

What will you be doing?You will be assisting with a variety of projects such as port, pier, dock, and industrial waterfront facility infrastructure improvements; seawalls; revetments; shoreline restoration; bulkheads; inspections; geotechnical investigations; retaining walls; fendering systems; pile-supported structures; boat ramps; and a variety of other geo-structural projects.

What do you need?You will need to be currently enrolled and pursing a BS in Civil Engineering with at least 2 years of completed course work. You will need to demonstrate intellectual curiosity, a desire to solve engineering problems, flexibility, a positive attitude, and open mindedness. It would be helpful to have experience using design software.

Ways to grow your careerOur internships offer students the opportunity to work on real assignments across multiple disciplines, while also directly relating to their coursework. Students are paired with a "buddy" and supervisor, both of which provide day-to-day guidance on projects throughout the summer.

We also rely heavily on our internship pool for entry-level full-time openings each year.

CompensationThe starting hourly range for candidates is:

$18-$25 per hour . Your rate is determined based upon completed years of education.
