Senior Occupational Therapist / Hand Specialist - Occupational Therapy

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist with expertise in hand therapy to join our dynamic team. As a leader in our rehabilitation department, you will play a key role in providing specialized care to patients with hand-related conditions. This position involves assessing, planning, and implementing effective occupational therapy interventions to improve hand function and enhance overall quality of life.

Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with hand injuries, conditions, or post-surgical rehabilitation needs.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on promoting optimal hand function and independence.
Provide expert guidance and supervision to junior occupational therapists and support staff.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic patient care.
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in hand therapy techniques and contribute to continuous improvement of clinical practices.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.
Some weekend commitment
Qualifications
Graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy holding Baccalaureate Degree or higher required.
Must have a minimum 5 yrs. as a practicing OT, for part time/full time staff including demonstrated teaching responsibilities & evidence of continuing education.
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience with a significant focus on hand therapy.
State licensure as an Occupational Therapist and certification in hand therapy (CHT).
Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide a team.
Currently California Occupational Therapist Lic (OTL). required.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support Card (AHA BLS) Required.
Fire Safety Card required. (must obtain 90 days from the hire date.)
