GridIron IT is seeking a Desktop Support Technician in Aberdeen, MD. Must hold at least an Interim Secret clearance.
Responsibilities:
Desktop software supportRespond to and resolve help desk ticketsInstall and support Government furnished software and hardwareService all tickets for installation and replacement of printer toner cartridgesService all tickets for installation/replacement of printer fuser kitsProvide IAVA/STIG compliance for all supported laptops and desktopsAnalyze network failuresProvide written evaluations, procedures, checklists and instructions for CIO approvalProvide technical advice and IT Acquisition planning supportProvide rapid response for Very Important Personnel (VIP)The Contractor shall report hardware, server and SIPRNet failures/problemsProvide support on NIPR and SIPR networks, or in standalone, nonnetworked operating environmentAcquire and maintain NIPR elevated privilege tenant desktop administrator accounts for NIPR desktop service support performanceTransfer of user dataUse IT asset management system in performance of IT lifecycle replacementInstall network Multi-Function Printers (MFP)Provide IAVA/STIG compliance for all supported laptops, desktops and printersPerform hard drive sanitization as requiredAnalyze new hardware performance and issuesProvide written evaluations, procedures, checklists and instructions for CIO approvalPacking, transportation, unpacking, configuration and set-up of the system(s) both to and from the destinationProvide basic support in the set-up, removal, distribution, and redistribution of resources e.g., printers, desktops, laptops, furniture, boxes, and other related items with minimal disruption, as requiredAssemble and/or disassemble equipment upon arrival to a receiving point. The contractor shall distribute items/furniture to the customer IAW guidance received from the GovernmentTransport equipment to and/or from designated locationsTransport excess equipment to the appropriate disposal point designated by the GovernmentSafeguard and protect all resources being moved during the entire transfer process to prevent damageRequirements:
DoD 8570.01 M Baseline Certification (Security+ or equivalent)DoD-issued Active or Interim Secret Clearance2+ years of experience
