The Ideal Candidate:Clinical Experience:

One to three years of endocrinology clinical experience in an outpatient setting.Diagnostic Skills:

Ability to diagnose and treat a wide variety of endocrinology conditions with a focus on improving patient outcomes.Competency:

Demonstrate competency in diagnosis and treatment to assure high standards of patient care and safety are maintained.Patient-Centered Approach:

Exhibit a patient-centered approach, fostering a positive patient experience.Communication Skills:

Excellent communication skills.Interest in Population Health Management:

Display an interest in population health management.Responsibilities:

Comprehensive Patient Evaluation:

Review patient's history and perform a physical examination.Maintain complete and accurate medical records.Conduct physical evaluation and diagnostic tests to determine diagnosis and provide appropriate treatment and patient care plan.

Endocrinology Treatment:

Diagnose and treat patients with a variety of hormonal diseases and conditions related to the endocrine systems.Provide comprehensive cost-effective diabetes care with available support of CDE/RD services.Recommend suitable management for the patient, including preventive health recommendations and habits.Prescribe medications and formulate ongoing treatment and disease management plans.

Relationship-Centered Care:

Provide relationship-centered care, taking into account the patient's psychosocial and physical needs.Communicate effectively with the clinical team to ensure total delivery of quality care.Share on-call phone answering responsibilities with other Endocrinologists, presently on or about every six weeks rotation basis.

Educational Participation:

Participate in medical staff educational programs and meetings.

Qualifications:

Degree:

Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), or foreign equivalent.Fellowship:

Completion of two years of postgraduate medical training from an accredited fellowship program in the area of practice (e.g., Endocrine, Diabetes, and Metabolism Medicine).Experience:

Open to both experienced and newly trained providers.Certification:

Board Eligible/Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Endocrinology.License:

Must possess a current, unrestricted New York State license or be eligible for licensure.Registration:

Must possess Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or be eligible for registration.Enrollment:

Must possess active Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or be eligible to enroll.Certification:

BLS or ACLS certification required but both strongly preferred.Communication Skills:

Must possess strong communication skills, both oral and written.Technology Comfort:

Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and Microsoft Office.Medical Office Hours of Operation:

Monday-Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PMThursday: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PMFriday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMCompetitive Benefit Package:
