The Department of Defense (DOD), Office of Inspector General (OIG), established in 1982 by the Inspector General Act of 1978, as amended, DOD OIG is an independent, agency that conducts oversight and identifies, deters, and detects fraud, waste, and abuse in DOD operations and programs. The investigative arm of the DOD OIG is the Defense Criminal Investigative Service (DCIS) that works closely with law enforcement agencies to conduct criminal investigations of matters critical to DOD property, programs, and operations with an emphasis on life, safety, and readiness. The importance of the DOD OIG oversight work is signified by the enormity of the Department's mission, the numerous assets that DOD utilizes to accomplish its mission, the magnitude of the $600 billion budget, and the over 3 million personnel who are part of the DOD family. The DOD OIG's oversight work balances the needs and requests of both the DOD and Congress. The purpose of this contract effort is intended to acquire various levels of support to assist each of the components accomplish prospective activities. The ISN DoD OIG IT Contract Support Services Desktop Publication Manager, will professional desktop publishing services for the creation of OIG publications, reports, and other communications materials (such as posters, flyers, brochures, fact sheets, exhibit displays, photographs, and website content) for print and electronic publication using industry-standard desktop publishing software. Industry-standard software includes, but not limited to, Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access), Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft Project, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier, After Effects, Bridge) and the Adobe Digital Publishing Suite. The following tasks are not all inclusive as this is a but will ultimately be part of the total solution for meeting the needs of the objective:Task 1: Prepare, maintain, and update templates for documents and presentation charts for both standard office programs and desktop publishing software. Task 2: Create and produce lengthy reports using Government-supplied text, charts, illustrations, and graphics using Adobe InDesign following established templates and report guides. Task 3: Conceptualize designs to create and edit a variety of communications materials such as logos, posters, banners, flyers, brochures, communication packages, exhibits, newsletters, charts, graphs, conference materials, and other media as requested. Task 4: Assist with designing original artwork and illustrations to support various written material and reports for print and electronic publication. Task 5: Prepare, edit, and arrange for print or electronic publication of completed products in Portable Document Format (PDF) files for electronic publication. Task 6: Prepare and convert Portable Document Format (PDF) files for 508 Compliance. Task 7: Assist Agency Printing Specialist Point of Contact to arrange for printed documents from external agency vendors. Task 8: Perform document file conversions to enable electronic publishing. Task 9: Assist with developing and maintaining publications style guides, templates, instructions, and instruction manuals. Task 10: Manage report and creative projects using database management systems and/or programs as required by the Government for tracking purposes. +7 years of experience in described areas of oversight.Must pass and maintain Active DoD Secret clearance throughout the life of the contract.Bachelors degree in business administration, computer science, or related field. Masters degree preferred.Additional Information
