Job Title: Geospatial Analyst | Location: Springfield, VA
Requisition Overview:
Our client is currently searching for a seasoned Geospatial Analyst to provide direct intelligence support to our government customer. The successful candidate will work as a member of a government-contractor team providing analysis, research, and information management support.
Required Experience and Education:
Senior: 10+ years' relevant experience with High School diploma and specialized training
Mid: 3+ years' relevant experience with High School diploma and specialized training
Bachelor's degree in related field can be included for up to 4 years of experience
Master's degree in related field can be included for an additional two years of experience
Required/Desired Skills: •Proficiency with digital cartography, image processing, computer technology, geographical information systems (GIS), geospatial production techniques, remote sensing, and photogrammetry. •Proficiency with ArcGIS, ArcSDE, ArcView, ArcIMS, ArcTools, the Integrated Exploitation Capability (IEC) system, SocetSet, TerraExplorer/Builder, RemoteView, ERDAS IMAGINE, MRSID, VB/VBA (or some other object oriented programming/scripting language), Oracle and other appropriate software to analyze geospatial data. •Expertise in photogrammetry, remote sensing, image processing, or regional expertise is also desirable. •Demonstrated knowledge of commercial imagery, products, processes and sensors. •Proficiency in using MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and Familiarity with electronic publishing and structured authoring software (SGML, HTML, or XML languages). •Familiarity with the following data formats: (e.g., DTED, VPF, CIB, ADRG); NGA imagery and geospatial products, data attribution techniques. •Comfort in working with advanced hardware and software technology and databases. •Strong presentation and interpersonal skills. •Proficiency with the following applications: Web publishing, and Web hosting technologies, along with Geospatial Database generation/maintenance applications and python scripting. •Proficiency with ArcGIS 9.x and its component extensions, along with the ability to create tailored scripts; working knowledge of ArcIMS and HTML editing; strong data mining and management skills. •Demonstrable ability to harness all geospatial tools and techniques with available data to provide relevant and insightful intelligence.
