Job Summary:
We are looking for a Safety Supervisor with experience in a large chemical facility to join our team. The Safety Supervisor will act as a liaison to ensure compatibility of safety processes between the client and the contractor. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of OSHA standards as they apply to construction and maintenance operations and be able to maintain a basic knowledge of these standards to ensure compliance on the job site.
Job Responsibilities:
Act as a liaison between the client and contractor to ensure compatibility of safety processesWork closely with the client and contractor to identify areas of improvement in safety processesMonitor and analyze safety metrics to identify trends and areas for improvementProvide training and guidance to employees and contractors on safety procedures and best practicesConduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA standardsInvestigate and report on safety incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actionsCollaborate with management to develop and implement safety programs and initiativesMaintain a basic knowledge of OSHA standards as they apply to construction and maintenance operationsStay up-to-date with changes to OSHA regulations and ensure compliance on the job siteRequirements
Job Requirements:
5+ years of experience in a large chemical facilityStrong knowledge of OSHA standards as they apply to construction and maintenance operationsAbility to maintain a basic knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations and stay up-to-date with changesExperience in developing and implementing safety programs and initiativesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAttention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work independently and as part of a team
