Job Summary:
The role of this position is to create programs for the CNC Plasma and Flame-cutting machines utilizing part nesting software. The CNC Programmer position will grow and change as the department does.
Essential Functions:Support all TTI/FSS Company Safety Policies to ensure they are followed, and personnel and property are kept safeRead technical drawings and guide in the set-up of machines in accordance with these blueprintsUse computer software to model cutting paths and program machines accordinglyProgram and oversee quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specificationsAdjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining qualityConsider tools required to cut materials and program machines accordinglyTroubleshoot and resolve problems with the machines as they ariseAdditional Duties:
Additional responsibilities or duties may be required as needed in support of company operations.Teamwork:
Teamwork is essential in this position and the Programmer must have a positive attitude and be able to work effectively with all departments, managers, and staff
Actively promote company safety culture with the team
Qualifications:
An individual must be able to perform each essential duty above average and always represent the company in a professional manner. The requirements listed are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Minimum 3 years' previous experience working in a steel manufacturing setting is requiredMust have strong attention to detailAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprintsStrong mechanical aptitude is requiredSkilled at troubleshooting and resolving problems that ariseAbility to work independently and closely follow directions is essentialShould have a positive and professional attitudeCapable of working in a shop environment for periods of timeAdhere to all safety requirements and protocolsEducation and/or Experience

Language Skills
Must be able to communicate professionally and effectively with co-workers, other departments, and managers.
Reporting
Reports to Pre-fab Manager and works with the operations team as well as Burn Table Foreman.
