Full time Pediatric Hand SurgeonThe Department of Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery is seeking a full-time, fellowship-trained hand surgeon to the Division of Pediatric Hand Surgery at our highly-ranked children’s hospital. We are a large team of dedicated professionals who are committed to providing excellent comprehensive care in a supportive environment. Our Orthopedic department includes 12 full time pediatric surgeons with sections of hand surgery, spine surgery, sports medicine, and trauma surgery and 6 non-surgical pediatric orthopedic specialists.
This physician, with the full support of this very collegial department, will be a full time hand surgeon in our reputable hand program. The successful candidate should be trained and experienced in pediatric hand, wrist, and upper extremities, and will be proficient in trauma, replantation, microsurgical reconstruction, congenital conditions, peripheral nerve and brachial plexus disorders, and the management of upper extremity spasticity disorders.This position includes an active clinical and surgical practice, along with both teaching and research opportunities. Academic appointments are available through the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine (UMKC). Children’s Mercy Kansas City is the academic training site for UMKC orthopedic residents.
