Saint Lukes Hospital of Kansas City is currently seeking a BC/BE transplant hepatologist for its expanding liver transplant program.
About the position:The liver transplant program at Saint Lukes Hospital was established in November 2011 and achieved Medicare approval in its second year of operation; Observed patient and graft survival rates exceed expected programmatic and national percentagesThe physician will work in collaboration with an experienced team comprised of transplant hepatologists and transplant surgeons and will be involved in patient care, education, and researchClinical trial program is integral to this position and opportunities for basic science collaborations exist within the medical schoolTransplant Hepatologists share in the responsibility for patient selection conferences, liver transplant clinic, liver disease management, satellite clinic development, and outreach effortsThis position will be primarily clinically oriented with research opportunities in addition to an academic appointment at University of Missouri-Kansas City School of MedicineFully integrated Epic EMRSaint Lukes has an extremely competitive career employment package that includes a guaranteed salary and excellent benefits such as medical, dental, vision, malpractice insurance, tax-deferred retirement plan with employer match, paid time off and a generous yearly CME allowanceRequirements: Successful completion of an ACGME/Accredited Gastroenterology Training program; Successful completion of an AST certified Hepatology Transplant Fellowship
