Project Superintendent

They shall coordinate the activities of the various trade groups such as subcontractors, self-perform crews, and owner provided vendors onsite. Responsibilities include making sure that the work progresses according to schedule, that materials and equipment are delivered to the site on time, and that the activities of the various workers do not interfere with one another. Superintendents supervise these activities by collaborating with the foreman for the different trades or subcontractors. If no degree held, a competent resume of experience as a superintendent or project manager is required.Capable of managing directly employed staff and subcontractors, coordinating work and ensuring all parties have up to date informationCapable of understanding plans and specifications and able to relate them effectively to subcontractors and ownersStrong working knowledge of construction means and methods, subcontractor capabilities and building materialsGood understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and blueprint reading.Basic knowledge and use of communication skills.Demonstrated leadership ability is essential.The ability to converse in Spanish may be an assetExperience with ProCore Construction Management SoftwareExperience with BlueBeamFamiliarity with construction software for takeoff and schedulingUnderstanding of consultant’s responsibilities and our obligations for Design Bid Build, Construction Manager at Risk and Design Build delivery methodKnowledge of building code and city requirementsProficient in MS officeValid driver’s licenseCapabilities with a Total Station is preferredExperience as a craft worker preferredWe provide year-round work and a comprehensive benefits package for our employees.
