JOB TITLE: SECURITY ENGINEER

LOCATION: ST. LOUIS, MO

Conduct risk assessments and investigations, execute appropriate risk mitigations, develop playbooks, and participate in incident response activities (training and actual)Review security violation reports and investigate possible security exceptionsProvide technical security advice and apply best practices across the enterpriseAssist with the conduct of security audits. This includes participating in developing and implementing Plan of Action & MilestonesCollaborate with other IT teams to remediate 3rd party penetration and vulnerability action itemsEvaluate, recommend, and implement IT security tools, procedures, and practices to protect information assets and improve cybersecurity postureStay updated on the latest security threats, technologies, and industry trends, and provide recommendations for improving security postureInterface with internal and external personnel to implement and to ensure understanding of compliance and cybersecurity requirementsMaintain relationships with security vendors and maximize return on investment of acquired productsCoordinate and monitor the delivery of a periodic cybersecurity awareness-training program for end usersAssist in the development and support of security policies and proceduresAbility to create and track relevant metrics for continuous improvement

The candidate will be working with various security tools and vendors:

Microsoft Security, Meraki firewalls, Zscaler, Data Protection/Encryption, systems management, AV, Carbon Black Protect, SecureWorks, and others.

Qualifications

3-5+ years of previous security or similar experience requiredExposure to security Frameworks like NIST or ISOHands-on and in-depth knowledge and experience with IT InfrastructuresExperience with government security compliance desired, Information Technology, or related field.

Skills Required

Familiar with security event logging and vulnerability scanning toolsExperience with managed security system providers preferredHigh level of professionalism with robust problem-solving capabilitiesAbility to communicate and collaborate effectively and efficiently with people at all levels in the organization, both inside and outside of technologyAbility to work independently while meeting delivery deadlines and delivering an exceptional client experienceStrong organizational capabilities with a drive for continuous improvementDevelop and provide training to educate users regarding cybersecurity best practicesAbility to pass a government background check
