TJT is seeking a
Tax Manager to help our Private Equity & Real Estate Practices . As a
PE Tax Manager , you will focus on tax preparation and review for private equity, venture and real estate funds. Additionally, you will participate in leading a team of TJT tax professionals and developing intentional relationships with clients. Advance skills in partnership taxation including familiarity with special allocations, tiered structures, PTE, and basis issues are fundamental requirements.

Essential Functions:
Prepare and review tax returns for private equity, venture and real estate funds
Run client engagements from start to finish, including planning, executing, directing, and completing tax projects on time, within budget, and up to management standards
Build impactful relationships with new and existing clients and maintain relationships with firm leadership
Develop a working knowledge of the client's business, take responsibility for completing assigned tasks, and meet client deadlines
Stay updated on changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards, and proactively apply new knowledge to client engagements
Collaborate with other tax professionals within the firm to coordinate efforts, share knowledge, and ensure efficient and effective delivery of tax services
Provide timely and high-quality services and work products that exceed client expectations
Build on technical competence by keeping up to date on trends, developments and technical authorities and apply them to moderately complex situations
Professional Requisites:
5+ years of PE tax related work experience
Technical expertise in preparing and reviewing partnership tax returns
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; Master’s degree in accounting preferred
Current CPA certification preferred
Previous work experience in the public accounting industry is required
Broad exposure to federal income taxation and some exposure to state and local tax
Excellent managerial, organizational, and communication skills
